Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS)


Hong Kong's "Quality Talent Entry" scheme aims to attract high-tech talents to Hong Kong. As long as they meet the qualifying points of one or two of the points systems, they can obtain quotas for entry to Hong Kong without having to obtain employment from employers in advance. Starting from January 1, 2023, the annual quota for this scheme will be canceled for a period of two years to attract more world-class talents to Hong Kong. After living continuously for not less than 7 years, you can apply for the right of abode in Hong Kong.

Application requirements

* No serious criminal record

* Good educational background/technical qualifications

* Good written and spoken skills in Chinese and English

* Prove that you can independently afford your life and accommodation during your stay in Hong Kong and do not need to rely on public assistance

* Meet one of the two Points Test and obtain qualifying points

Not applicable to nationals of Afghanistan, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, Nepal and Vietnam

Anyone who meets the above requirements can apply.

#Applicants who have won the Outstanding Achievement Award and Lifetime Achievement Award can get 245 points

AIMS Service Process
  • 1. Preliminary inquiries to AIMS and understand the content of the title
  • 2. Immigration assessment by AIMS consultant
  • 3. Sign a service agreement with AIMS and pay the service fee, and collect various documents from the applicant at the same time
  • 4. Notification of success or failure of selection results
  • 5. If successfully allocated, a [Notice of Approval in Principle] will be issued, and the applicant will be invited to attend a meeting in Hong Kong
  • 6. Change from [Approval in Principle] to [Formal Approval], and the entry permit is issued
