Singapore Employment Pass


Employment Pass (work visa) is a visa program launched by the Singapore Ministry of Manpower for foreigners to be employed in Singapore or for foreign investors to open companies and operate businesses in Singapore. The full English name is Employment Pass. This visa is a type of work visa. The visa holder can enter and exit Singapore multiple times within the validity period of the visa in order to operate and manage the business of his Singapore company. Visa holders can also apply for dependent visas for their spouses and children under the age of 21.


Application requirement :

* Registering Singapore or offshore companies, trusts, limited partnerships and all forms of fund vehicles including Variable Capital Companies (VCCs)

* To hire a fund manager, you must be resident in Singapore, registered with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), or hold a CMS license

* Hire at least three professional investment personnel (one of whom is a non-family member), and the fund has a one-year grace period to meet this condition

* Minimum total asset value (AUM) at the time of application SGD50,000,000

* Fund expenses (including remuneration, management fees and other operating costs): minimum expenditure of SGD500,000 per financial year

* Need to maintain local investment of 10% of total asset value or SGD10,000,000 at all times




AIMS Service Process

  • 1. Preliminary inquiries to AIMS and understand the program content
  • 2. Sign a service agreement with AIMS and pay the service fee. At the same time, collect various documents from the applicant.

  • 4. Support relevant employment contract arrangements and submit employment pass applications to the Singapore Ministry of Manpower
  • 5. After being approved, AIMS will receive a letter of in-principle approval on behalf of the applicant.
  • 6. Successfully obtain an employment pass to work and live in Singapore
